A Tranquil Rural Setting
Welcome to Heddwch Retreat – a beautifully converted, fully wheelchair-accessible bungalow designed with comfort, space, and relaxation in mind.
Heddwch means “Peace” in Welsh – and you’ll truly feel it here. Nestled in the quiet rural hamlet of Llwyndafydd, the cottage overlooks rolling farmland and is just minutes from the stunning West Wales coastline and the hidden coves of Cardigan Bay.
From the moment you arrive, you’ll notice the easy, level access into a wide hallway that flows into a bright and airy open-plan living, dining, and kitchen area. The living space is furnished with cosy sofas, a riser/recliner chair, and a large wall-mounted TV – perfect for unwinding after a day exploring. The stylish, fully equipped kitchen includes a dishwasher, washing machine, and a wheel-under breakfast bar with freestanding seating. On sunny days, open the bi-fold doors and step out onto the level terrace to take in uninterrupted countryside views.
Heddwch sleeps up to four guests in two comfortable bedrooms. The accessible bedroom has a wide single profiling bed, air mattress and pump for maximum comfort, with the option of a second pull-out single bed if requested. It includes push-call buttons and a ceiling hoist that glides directly into a luxury en-suite wet room. Here, you’ll find a step-free shower with optional wall-mounted seat, a rainfall and hand-held shower, grab rails for comfort and safety, a Gerberit Aquaclean WC, wheel-under washbasin, full-height body dryer, Aquatec tilt-in-space shower/commode chair, and bathroom alarm pull cords.
The second bedroom can be arranged as a super-king or twin beds, and the family bathroom offers both a walk-in shower and a shower-over-bath for flexibility.
Outside, guests can enjoy a private terrace with glass balustrade, lawned gardens, and sweeping views of the surrounding countryside. Private hard-standing parking is available right by the cottage, and EV charging is available just two minutes away at our nearby farmstead.
We warmly welcome an assistance dog or one well-behaved companion dog to join you during your stay.
