Peace, Coast & Easy Access
Heddwch Retreat is a peaceful, wheelchair-friendly cottage in the quiet hamlet of Llwyndafydd, just minutes from the spectacular Cardigan Bay coast.
With disabled parking right outside and a calm rural setting, it’s the perfect base for relaxing at home, spotting wildlife, and taking gentle trips to nearby towns, harbours, and nature spots. You may even catch sight of dolphins along the coast.
The seaside town of New Quay is just a few miles away, with sandy beaches, a traditional stone quay, and plenty of cafés and restaurants. Aberaeron, with its colourful Georgian harbour, and Cardigan, steeped in history on the River Teifi estuary, are both within easy reach.
Closer to home, Cwmtydu Cove is just five minutes down a coastal lane, with a beachside car park and sweeping views out to sea. For wide sandy shores with excellent access, Poppit Sands near Cardigan offers beach wheelchairs and level entry to the beach.
Guests can enjoy exploring the South Ceredigion coastline, with the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park less than an hour away. To the north, Aberystwyth with its accessible promenade makes a great day out, while Tenby to the south (around 90 minutes’ drive) is a perfect destination for a longer excursion.
A Tranquil Rural Setting
Heddwch Retreat is surrounded by open skies, birdsong, and peaceful countryside. Many guests love simply sitting back and enjoying the views, watching red kites overhead or farm animals grazing nearby.
A short trip up the lane brings you to Llainfran Farmstead, where you can meet our friendly alpacas, donkeys, goats, and Shetland ponies — a highlight for many of our visitors.
